Sell to people on the pavement, through the glass.

Paste the link you want them on — your shop, your booking page, your opening hours. Download a code printed to be read from outside, in daylight, by someone who is not going to stand there for long.

Where these earn their keep

01

Window and door

The shop is shut and somebody is interested anyway. A code on the glass is the only member of staff working at nine on a Sunday.

02

Shelf edges and price tags

The answer to 'is there another colour' without anyone having to find you and ask. It works best pointing at the one product it sits under, not at the homepage.

03

Packaging and receipts

The purchase is already made, so this one is about the second one. It costs nothing to print on something already going in the bag.

Six looks, made for a shop that is already busy.

Pick one and it fills in the generator above. Every combination has been printed and read back, so a code that suits the window also works in it.

Questions people ask

How big should I print it for a window?

Bigger than the file's minimum. The size that comes out of the generator is the smallest that works at arm's length; a window is read from the pavement, so give it room. If in doubt, print it at twice the width you first thought of — nobody has ever failed to scan a code for being too large.

Where should it point?

At the one thing the person standing there wants. A code on a price tag that opens the homepage makes them do the searching they scanned to avoid. Deep links cost nothing and are the difference between a sale and a shrug.

Do I need to reprint when my website changes?

Only if the address changes. The code carries where a page lives, not what is on it — so redesign freely, and think hard before moving a URL that is printed on something in a window.

Does it expire, or need an account?

Neither. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to renew, no watermark, no trial. The code works because of what is printed on it.

The window is open even when you are not.
